God Picks the Underdog.
The Underdog Blueprint is a free 25-day devotional for men and women who lead — but don't always feel like they're enough.
Instant access — PDF download + daily email series — no cost, no catch.
WHAT IT IS
25 Days. Scripture. Reflection. Action. One step at a time.
God has always worked through underdogs. Not because they were the strongest or most polished — but because they were willing.
The Underdog Blueprint is a 25-day devotional built for the person carrying real responsibility: for a family, a business, a team — while quietly wondering if they're actually enough for it.
Each day includes:
A Scripture that speaks directly to where you are
The Truth — a short reframe of how God sees your situation
An Underdog Reflection drawn from real experience
Questions to write and sit with
An Underdog Action — one concrete thing to do today
A Prayer and a Closing Declaration
10–15 minutes a day. No performance required. Just show up.

From 400 lbs and broke…
to Ironman finisher and business builder.
I know what it's like to feel overlooked, unqualified, and invisible.
In 2007, I had a wife and eight kids depending on me. No degree. No network. No margin. I was 400 pounds and running out of options.
I didn't have credentials. I had willingness.
That one decision — to trust God with what I couldn't control and show up faithfully in the quiet — changed everything. I built Lynn Engineering, Lynn Construction, and Lynn Development. I went from 400 lbs to 220. I trained for and finished an Ironman. Now I'm training for the Cowboy 200 — a 200-mile ultramarathon through Nebraska.
Not because I was exceptional. Because I stopped waiting to feel ready and started moving anyway.
The Underdog Blueprint is the framework I wish I'd had when it all began.
As Seen On
FOX 29 Houston Morning Show
This is for you, if:
You've felt overlooked, underqualified, or like you're always starting from behind
You carry weight for others — family, employees, your community — and you do it quietly
You're tired of performing and ready to become
You believe your faith should connect to your real, everyday life — not just Sunday morning
This isn't a self-help program.
It's a formation guide.
It won't tell you to hustle harder. It'll remind you who you already are — and who God says you're being shaped into.
The 5 Sections of The Underdog Blueprint:
Section 1 — Underdog Identity (Days 1–5) To have a strong foundation, you need to know who you are. The Heart God Sees · Chosen Against the Odds · The Least, Not the Loudest · Promotion Is God's Job · Lifted Through Humility
Section 2 — Strength Through Weakness (Days 6–10) Your limitations don't disqualify you — they position you for His strength. Grace Is Enough · Delivered, Not Spared · The Weight You Don't Need to Carry · Not By Might · Armed By God
Section 4 — God Fights for the Underdog (Days 16–20) You were never supposed to win this alone. The Battle Isn't Even · Stillness Takes Courage · A Place to Stand · If God Is For You · God Finishes the Work
Section 3 — Endurance & Faithfulness (Days 11–15) Consistency in the quiet builds character for the stage. The Cost of Discipline · The Person Who Perseveres · Getting Back Up · Trusted With Little · The Quiet Victory
Section 5 — Living on Purpose (Days 21–25) What you build in faithfulness outlasts what you achieve in ambition. A Future With Intent · Work Prepared in Advance · Strength Under Control · Transformed, Not Conformed · Well Done
Every Underdog Has a Blueprint. This Is Yours.

The Blueprint is rooted in Scripture and written from a faith perspective. If you're open to that, you'll get a lot out of it. And wherever you are in your faith journey, I believe the daily reflections and action steps will strengthen you.

Good. This isn't churchy — it's practical. Each day is built around an honest reflection from my journey and one concrete action step you can actually take.

Pick up where you left off. This isn't about perfect execution. It's about showing up.
You’re not late. You’re just the Underdog.
In 2025, I set a wild goal in public: become an Ironman. I wrote it on a wall, posted it online, and let the world hold me accountable. I crossed that finish line. But I knew I wasn’t done.
If you’ve ever felt like you were made for more—but weren’t sure what the “next big thing” was—this one’s for you.
